after 3 months traveling in Japan. Carrying the PS5 through customs in a rucksack (was advised to ditch the box) I was greatly anticipating playing de vidja games recovering from jet lag.

So I bought a 3 month subscription to PS Extra, downloading Returnal, Demon Souls and Ghostwire Tokyo. The game I have played the most of is Ghostwire! It's like I never left Japan maaaaan, it's still cherry blossom season!! Love the world building, the moments of originality characteristic of Mikami. The soundtrack is also very atmospheric! Can't understand why it wasn't that well received.

Finally the PS5 rocks, especially when bought at £310 with an extra controller

Anyways, back to it

:)

Yeah, I'm also discovering that Ghostwire Tokyo is actually a good game thanks to PS Plus. This is why its important to play a game for yourself and judge it. Some critics had people thinking it was a horrible game. I remember members of GB really bashing it last year. I actually looked the game up and saw how it mostly reviewed well, even Gamespot gave it an 8/10. And Metacritic has an overall positive critic and user score. And the PS5 is a pretty good console. Can't beat those almost none existent load times of PS5 games, and the improved performance of many classic PS4 games, just to name some good things about it.

GB had me thinking it was straight up bad, and Destructoid an ok 7.5. Jeff G not sure he even played it

Yes, the only qualm i have, is that for some reason it hasn't transferred my data from Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, and RE 1 remake on the PS4 cloud. Why oh why! I have transferred all the data from the cloud, and the ps4-ps5 transfer. I had put 50 hours into Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne respectively. Guess I will never complete them. Oh well!

I bought a used 3DS on a visit to the USA. I was fully prepared to declare it (kept the box and receipt), but I stood there at the declaration desk in Heathrow for 20 minutes and nobody showed up. Not sure how we're supposed to follow the law if they don't employ enough staff to make that possible.

Anyway, sounds like you got quite a good deal too.

Indeed. Yes from what I saw I would have been ok to leave the console in the box but didn't want to risk it

I had fun with Ghostwire Tokyo. It felt like being The Avatar. I did reach a point where I didn't want to do any more side stuff, but that was totally fine!
